Accessible Oceans Accreditation recognises organisations that actively work to improve access to maritime, coastal, and waterfront environments for all users. Assessment considers areas such as physical access, operational procedures, customer journey, staff competence and organisational commitment.

Accreditation is a mark of commitment to accessibility across maritime and waterfront operations. 

In order to obtain Accreditation:

  • Undergo full accessibility assessment meeting minimum criteria
  • Agree & implement action plan 
  • Demonstrate ongoing & long-term commitment to accessibility
  • Annual review & progress reporting.

Accreditation can:
